Euchre

The first game i’ll talk about is euchre.  Euchre is played with four people two on each team. You start by separating the deck from 9’s on up to aces. You’ll also need score cards, these can be any numbers as long as they add up to ten.  After you have separated the deck, you then shuffle and deal first two then three, two, three, then you do it the opposite way so three, two, three, two. After you finish dealing flip up the top card. Now that you know how to deal a euchre hand, I’ll teach you some basic guidelines to help you and your teammate to success. The first rule of thumb is never trump your partner’s ace. (Your partner already has the trick:) secondly try to short suit yourself as much as possible. (the less offsuit you have the more likely you are to use your trump:) thirdly Placeholder Image

How to play simple card games well

Hello, My name is David and I will be teaching you how to play simple card games well. But, before we get started, in order for you to look like a pro you have to learn how to shuffle like a pro. Here are some pointers that will teach you some basic shuffling techniques to get you started.

First I will teach you the shuffling technique called the bridge.

  1. Take the cards and separate them into two equal piles
  2. then take one pile in each hand.
  3. place your thumbs in the front of the pile and pointer fingers on top of the deck and the rest of your fingers behind the deck.
  4. then put your thumbs close together while pressing down with your pointer fingers and slowly release the cards one by one with your thumb. the cards should then naturally overlap and fall into place.
  5. then place your thumbs over the part where the two decks overlap and apply pressure to the back of the decks. The cards should bend into place after that.
